After many moons, I’m back and ready to refresh alpaca fé.  No excuses for my digital disappearance but I have one explanation: indulgence.

Since writing from a Ugandan mosquito net, I returned home and made certain to enjoy what I had just discovered was my last summer in my favorite city.  This was done in decadent fashion as I drank up every drop of the juice that fuels Berlin.  As my body began to crumble under an unhealthy sleep:mate ratio, my time in Technotown ticked to an end.  A club-caused cough marked the start of my Berlin Blues, but…

… a  few flights and a high-voltage culture shock later, my thirst and blues are being satisfied by another great city.  I’m typing from my new home on Chicago’s South Side. I’m student again and I’ll be here for a year, drinking Big Gulps of the finest that Chi-town has to offer (while still sharing a couple Berlin summer stories too).
